The patient filed a complaint to the nursing staff but he said the service has not improved. This language issue incident is not the first to happen at Verdun Hospital, even though the law requires them to offer a minimum standard of service in both official languages.
The government should hurry and implement an access plan to direct hospitals on how to deal with English-speaking patients, commented QCGN VP Geoffrey Chambers on the issue.
