Anglo groups seek culture cash

Several community groups for anglophone Quebeckers are hoping a new federal government fund will promote English arts and culture in the province. The federal government has promised $3.5 million per year for minority linguistic communities within the “Cultural Development Fund” program. The funding is part of a larger initiative to promote both official languages. Community Groups such as the Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network (QAHN) and the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN) are saying the program will help develop arts, culture, and heritage programs in official language minority communities.
