The Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN), one of the organizations that are part of Quebecers against Bill 96 – Quebec’s French-language law – launched an Access to Justice website, something they say will work to inform English-speaking communities in the province about their rights to access justice, services, and resources.

Salary: $45,000 CAD to $50,000 CAD depending on experience
ABOUT THE QCGN
Founded in 1995, the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN) gives voice to the Official Language Minority Community (OLMC) of Quebec. It advocates on behalf of this community, promoting its views, positions, and interests, ensuring the respect and evolution of its rights, and contributing to its growth and vitality.
The QCGN believes that the strategic use of information can successfully drive change. ABOUT THE ACCESS TO JUSTICE IN ENGLISH PROJECT
The QCGN considers access to justice in English in Quebec as essential to strengthening community vitality and representation. The Access to Justice in English in Quebec (AJEQ) project is a community-based initiative developed by the QCGN with support from Justice Canada.

Job Summary
The Director, Access to Justice in English, reports to the Director General, and under her direction, provides support to the Board of Directors and its Committees, other members of staff, QCGN projects, and external stakeholders. The Director, Access to Justice in English, monitors developments and legal issues which have — or may have — an impact on the English-speaking community of Quebec and works with their colleagues to protect, advance, and promulgate language rights.
The Director, Access to Justice in English will also act as the principle staff contact with Justice Canada and Quebec’s Ministry of Justice, performing government relations functions related to these institutions.
The QCGN is funded by the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage.
