Education Minister Jean-François Roberge pulled the plug on any compromise to save three English-language schools from being transferred to a French school board. The news is shocking, but it’s the way he delivered it that has left hundreds of parents with a bitter taste in their mouth. Geoffrey Chambers, president of the Quebec Community Groups Network, says that Roberge deliberately speaking to French media only is a sign of disrespect and shows just how disconnected the Quebec government is to the English-speaking community.
