Task Force on English Education. Report to the Minister of Education of Quebec (Chambers’ Report)
Chaired by McGill Chancellor Gretta Chambers, 23 individuals appointed by the Minister of Education consulted students, parents, employers, teachers, school boards and administrators throughout Quebec. Noting that enrolment in English schools had decreased by 57 per cent in the previous 20 years, the task force issued a list of recommendations to stem the exodus of young English-speaking Quebecers and to provide them with a good education and satisfying career opportunities.
The QCGN is funded by the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage.
