QCGN project aims to engage Quebec youth

Over the next three years, the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN) will oversee three, bilingual, province-wide forums for youth ages 15 to 25 as a part of a project entitled, Young Quebecers Leading the Way.
Funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Youth Take Charge program, the program has been developed in partnership with the Institut du Nouveau Monde and the Association for Canadian Studies, as a means of getting Quebec’s young people to offer their views on the significance of youth engagement in shaping the future of their country.
Alison Maynard, Youth Project Coordinator with the QCGN explained that the project is meant to reach out to the broadest range of young people possible, with the intent of breaking down cultural barriers and fostering a greater sense of belonging.
