Outstanding leaders celebrated for community contributions

MONTREAL – Three outstanding leaders from across the province are honoured for their community contributions and for building bridges between Quebecers of different backgrounds.

 On Tuesday, the winners of the fifth annual Sheila and Victor Goldbloom Distinguished Community Service Awards were announced and this year’s winners areRobina Goodwin, a retired home visit nurse and founder of the Council for Anglophone Magdalen Islanders; Judy Martin, the president of Batshaw Youth and Family Centres and a governor of Muscular Dystrophy Canada; and Kevin Tierney, a filmmaker and the producer of the bilingual hit movie Bon Cop, Bad Cop.
